RIP Nadir Tareen 🇵🇸
RIP Nadir Tareen
On December 30, 2023, our brother Nadir Tareen passed away at 26 years old.
Nadir joined the israelquotes.com project as a designer. Thanks to his work, our instagram
page @israelquotesdotcom has reached 100 followers in
only a
week!
Nadir's legacy with our project is short, but sweet and impactful. We have him to thank for the template that we use
for social media posts. Nadir also helped us get organized with design resources and was starting research to
explore how to improve the presentation of the website itself. Nadir was a bright, intelligent, and humble young
man. Nadir was a true professional.
Khalid first met Nadir on the jiu-jitsu mats. Khalid remembers Nadir as a gentleman and a scholar, well-spoken and
dedicated in his study of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Not only was Nadir an excellent training partner, he was a resilient
and formidable competitor. Later, when Khalid started this website, Nadir was impressed by the
idea and reached out to Khalid to express his interest in collaborating with us.
This is Nadir's first message to us about joining the project, sent on December 15, 2023.
"Hey Khalid! I just wanted to say that I think this is an amazing project. Just bringing transparency to
the facts
and letting them speak for themselves is so powerful. Much respect and kudos to you. Also if you ever have need
for a UX designer to help make it more accessible/consumable for people I'd be happy to volunteer my time. Its
one of my passions and ive been doing it professionally for some time now. Would love to use those skills to
contribute to the cause in any way. I used to do front end web dev as well so can help w coding."
This is Nadir's last message to us, responding to our New Year's well-wishes, sent on December 29, 2023.
"Thank you guys! Hope yall have a blessed new years weekend too. I unfortunately had quite a busy week
and also caught a stomach bug so I was kinda sick but better now. Didn't make as much progress as I'd have liked
to but I'm honestly ready for new years festivities to be over so I can get heads down time on designs for the
site. Stoked for things to come."
We remember Nadir forever. We are honored to have received the fruits of his labor, time volunteered from some of
the last hours of his life. Nadir lives on in our minds and hearts, in our speech and work.
Rest in Peace, Nadir Tareen. We love you, brother.
